I remember seeing a couple of dollars on the Paragon website years ago that I thought were both easily top 100 material at the time. One was named "The Comet" and the other "The Minneapolis Monster" I believe.
This one at least in the Top 200. At first view, one might think the obverse pattern is fingerprint whorls. They are actually bag fabric patterns. PCGS MS-64

<< <i>This coin clearly belongs in the group ... it is an 1881-S PCGS MS68+ This coin was previously in ANACS MS68, PCGS MS67, and PCGS MS68 holders. The coin belonged to Ron Sirna, and was acquired by me for the Sunnywood Collection. As 1881-S was the most common date, with the most colorful toners available, I wanted to find the ULTIMATE example for that slot in my set. I think this coin qualifies. It now resides in the Simpson-Sunnywood Collection. (Mr. Simpson graciously offered to keep the Sunnywood name on his set. The coins were all regraded PCGS secure plus, with many important "plus" designations awarded and a few full upgrades. His Registry set includes 94 coins from my set plus three Sonnier coins that I had always wanted to put in my set, but which were not available until just after I sold the set.) >>
I always loved that coin and I affectionately called her "The Moose" - I could have simply named her "WOW" because that's what everyone said when they saw it.
Here are two others from my toned Morgan collection that now reside in the great Canadian North
And here's the "Moose" in the original PCGS Holder when I sold it to Sunnywood (since upgraded to a +).
Here's another nice toned Morgan - also recently gone to the Canadian North.
Collecting eye-appealing Proof and MS Indian Head Cents, 1858 Flying Eagle and IHC patterns and beautiful toned coins.
