I need EBAY Help-Putting call out to STORM-Updated Seller just refunded my payment

I need some help, I can see that I am going to be getting scammed. I purchased this card via a BIN auction using BING earlier today and paid for the card immediately, as it was being sold for 50% of what these cards sell for.

Musial 52 Bowman PSA 8

In a search a few minutes ago, I notice the seller has the same card back up for auction.

Musial 52 Bowman up for auction

I have already filed a paypal dispute as this is not going to turn out well, and made a call to EBAY with their response being they will research it, but it needs to be handled via paypal now that I filed the dispute. Is there anything else I should be doing? The seller has already responded to my dispute claiming that he doesnt understand why the dispute, this is the only card he has for sale, and that its clearly for sale still. He even told me to buy the second one, and he would ship it to me immediately.

How should I proceed.

  • Other than not getting the card I do not see you getting screwed out of your money.

    Matt,

I just sent the seller a message stating that I was interested in the card he had up. HOWEVER, I said I did a search to see what the value was and saw that he just sold the same exact card earlier today. I asked him to explain so I will feel comfortable bidding on this card. IF I get a response I will let you know.

    Good Luck!

I noticed that the second auction was ended early. I hope that means everything worked out for you! By the way, it is a beautiful card!!

So that means no card? But this seller has a huge amount of positive feedback! WTF!

No card from me, I dont want the hastles. There is no reason why that card should be listed via BIN for $310 when the VCP is $640. I would never have thought anything about it, had he not listed the identical card back up for auction again at the same BIN price 2 hours after I just purchased the card.
  • Sucks that you don't get it for a great deal but at least you did not have to string the process of getting refunded out.

Here was his reply ... he was very prompt ... up to you to believe him or not ...

    Dear dboneesq,

This item was listed twice by turbo lister. In
fairness to all I have cancelled both items.

The turbo lister glitch is possible. I've listed the same card twice. But I didn't have one end, list another and have it at half price============WTF.

Probably realized his error in pricing the card.

I dont know much about the turbo listing...

but why use it when you 8 total auctions?

also, he has multiple auctions ending @ 310.00

    something is fishy...

    good to get out...

Not defending the seller, but with Turbo Lister you can duplicate listings, then edit the duplicated listing so save time in preparing listings. Entirely possible the seller did so with the Musial and neglected to change the price before posting. I've done it, but have always caught the error by reviewing the newly posted listings.

I unfortunately bought a card from this guy the same day as the both of you did and paid instantly. I have yet to recieve it and the seller did not reply to my email I sent last Friday about when to ship the card. I just opened an ebay dispute thing so hopefully it gets resolved as I still want my card.

    Ty

Hi, did you look at his feedback as a seller?

Seems he sold a bunch of high dollar cards and received some positive feedback from at least one

ebayer that I know (majoryankeefan) who bought quite a few.

Perhaps he sold your card twice?

    (For whatever reason)

His DSR is low for communication and shipping time.

I don't think he is robbing you.

    Good luck.

    Steve,

Thankfully he did not sell my card twice. I was just a little leary that he did not communicate back to me within the 4 days plus I contacted him about it. I hope the card shows up tomorrow. It seems that in the past whenever I am at my limit in waiting for an item and I take action, the thing shows up in my mailbox. I hope that is the case.

    Thanks
    Nathan

I don't think you'll have a problem, like the other guys said earlier maybe it was a listing error.

(not for your card) in general. He needs to communicate better and ship faster.

Let us know how you make out.

    Steve
    Good for you.

Nathan, Any updates? I noticed the seller relisted the card that I had purchased a couple days ago, this time using a true auction format.

Thankfully my card was received today. I am just happy to get the card. Good luck with your Musial if you plan to bid and win it (again).
