Group of baseball cards..how to sell? (multiple scans)

Picked up a group of cards a few weeks ago and wondered how to sell? I got the group for $250 and now wonder if it was worth it??
Do I do individual ebay auctions or sell as a complete group? I scanned all the cards so buyers would get a good idea of the condition. Thoughts?

I'd break them into lots by year at the least (a few I'd sell as singles), too wide of a span in years to maximize $$$ IMHO.

    Cool batch of cards.

  • list them on ebay start the bids at 99 cents to 9.99 , the higher dollar card show front & back scans the cheaper ones just the front and offer to email them a scan of the back. nice group of cards and hope you get alot of bidders.
  • Sorry to say but you overpaid I wouldn't have paid $50 for the lot, they have a lot of condition issues.

I don't think you should put them on ebay, with fee's and what-not, I don't know if that is the best place if you want to profit off of the lot. Put a price on them and list them here. I think 250 was a pretty fair price for the lot.

Put them on ebay with a picture of them in an old cigar box. It's like chumming the waters.

Use a few photos (not scans) but be honest about condition. $500 or b/o. Take anything over $150 and chalk it up to lessons learned.

So there are 42 cards and they aren't even worth roughly a buck a card? That stinks.

  • A few of them look like they are in poor condition, maybe a little more as a lot.If they were bigger names from the 50s then maybe you could do good splitting them up otherwise mostly minor stars from 60s 70s in poor to very good condition.
  • I think you guys are being a little rough. You may have overpaid for the cards at $250, but $50 is not right. The 55 banks looks to be VG at worse (the scan looks like vg-ex to EX) and the 65's look pretty nice. There are a lot of people that love these cards and collect them on a budget. List them on the Buy, Sell, Trade message boards and you'll probably end up close to where you started. People will buy a few cards and may spend $20 on a few lower end cards or $60 on a few higher end cards. My guess is you will end up somewhere between $150-$250.

  • are we looking at the same lot of cards? sorry but $250 is alot for a lot of creased damage cards even the banks at its best is a $30 card how could you get over $200 for the rest of these.I would just keep them as the expense in time and ebay fees and postal supplies you will lose money.

I see quite a few ex cards in there. They aren't junk by any means.
