Does PSA have those corner recessed area (cutout area showing corners) like that. I though that was the easiest way to tell its a fake slab.
To me it looks like the other fake slabs, but then again I am far from a PSA slab expert.
PS like many reprints the color is off a bit, especially the shadow areas, ie. under brim of hat and forehead blend together and are way too dark, also the face on the small B&W action shot has no definition, way too dark. R319 Goudey reprints are easy to spot because of this too, the dark area are too dark compared to the lighter areas.
I sent him a message letting him know the cards were Craiglist fakes and that I'd be alerting ebay, although I haven't yet. I just told him he might want to know since he had perfect feedback, etc... He responded with :
Greetings,
Will be shutting down both auctions as I had no Idea (as you can tell by my feedback) I'm not inclinded to that practice.
Best regards Ray sunglee1
sound like he's a good seller and really didn't know. We'll see.

I just looked, and both the Mantle and the Aaron auctions have been ended.
That's scary. I'm a big believer in looking at the font on the flip. Other than the Henry Aaron being all wrong, the rest of the fonts look okay to me. I didn't even notice the rounded corners of the holder until someone else mentioned it. That holder is not even close.

The fact he shut down the auctions so quickly, based on the opinion of a single person he doesn't know, tells me he already knew they were fake. Just my opinion

I agree. At any rate, it prevents someone from spending crazy money on those two cards......for now.
People who are dealing in PSA 8.5 1959 Mantle's know the deal. How would he even purchase this card. What did he do...Buy it for $400 from someone and thought he got the deal of the century. The whole thing is bogus. The holder is so obvious. There are a lot of jerks out there. Sometimes these threads are very useful. This is another ebay seller that I don't have to waste my time and look at his auctions. Whenever I see someone try to pull something like this I have no mercy. They're done in my book. I'll argue with anyone.... as I have with a few on these boards, I'll question grades, and I will yell when I disagree with the direction of grading companies; but stuff like this I have no forgiveness. Alot of this hobby is built on trust and this seller has lost it all.
Looks like its the same scumbag seller to me... I wish someone from PSA or some fraud authority could put the hammer down on this guy. Someone needs to take those cards and remove them from the fake psa slabs once and for all. He keeps trying to pawn off on the community. This guy really needs to go away for a long long time...

Most of the honest sellers that I personally know will immediately pull a listing that is questioned by an emailer that appears to be acting in good faith.
I pull such listings within minutes of being notified of a "possible" problem. I then recheck/research the item and relist ONLY if I am sure I am right.
A seller who pulls a listing on notice of a possible problem, may or may not be acting in good/bad faith. Such pulls are not good evidence of bad faith.

Also, as hhmag70 states, I can't see the little PSA logo on the bottom right.
I just think this is not a legit PSA holder.
More importantly, the card itself appears too grainy. The finish isn't as clear and vibrant as a real 1954 Aaron.

Good job Corvette (and also the seller) !!

Can somebody look at VCP and see if there is anything there
about the previous sales of the cards?
.................
The pond is now so polluted that honest sellers will likely be
offering these cards for a long time.

It could well be so.
Or, the EBAY seller could have bought the items on CL.
