Just pulled a Strasburg Purple Refractor - Great job on the centering Topps

Pulled it from a WalMart blaster tonight. I think I'm gonna hold it for 1 start before listing it on eBay. If he doesn't pitch well it will be worth the same $100 +/- it is now, but if he has a good outing it may go for a little more even with the horrible centering. It's #ed to 999.

    The centering doesn't seem so bad, the top border is about the same as the sides. The name's a little low on the card, but I like it! Nice pull!

    Nice pull Nick. 85/15 centering is impressive in this day and age! Bowman probably had to physically work to screw it up that much.

    Holy crap, that's terrible centering for this day and age.

    I'm sure when you list it on Ebay, someone who only cares only about the hype wont even look at the centering and will pay stupid money for it.

    possibly a puzzle that lists all players that had career high in hr in '99 season....

    the puzzle also would shrewdly spell out B A L C O

    If your buyers are as stupid as I am...ie, I thought the card was pretty well centered, since I was totally clueless about that purple rim...you should do great!

    You could always use purple construction paper on the scanner or take a picture of it at an angle and be like those kind of sellers.

    At least the card fell in good hands.

    centering sucks, but I would list it now while the hype is up and he is healthy, Some buyers will look at the centering while others caught up in the hype will not. I say let it rock n roll. image

    I'd wait until debut to list.

    My wound is still fresh from when I sold my /777 Ref for $50 BIN, Blue non ref for $40 etc when that was the going price.

    Ha! Me too. I was thinking looks spot on to me.

    Thats pretty bad.

    That 1/1 that sold fo 16k was off but nothing like this. Plus on a 1/1 centering is almost irrelevant because it is the finest example that exists.

    I have 3 boxes on the way and I will be extremely happy if I pull any strasburg card let alone a refractor.....I should have just bought an Bowman AUTO RC a few weeks ago for what I paid for the boxes image
