Money in my pocket...No coins anywhere!

They say patience is a virtue. Well, this hobby certainly tests your patience if you specialize at all.

I have a few dollars to spend. I haven't added to my collection of pedigreed colonials in a while. The Morgan Dollar I just bought was so great that - while it serves its purpose well and was so different than anything else in my collection - it whet my appetite for another pedigreed colonial even more!

Of course, it's a balancing act: find a coin that fits my collection, in the right price range, with the right look, with all the other attributes that I require (reputable dealer, top tier TPG, etc).

And so I wait. Maybe all those Legend Market Reports were right after all! image

I've got two pre-Federal pieces certified and in my safe deposit box. A little marker on the slabs and I can pedigree the coins in any way you want. Now, let's talk money...image

You're no thread killer Tom! There's just not many that can offer MidLife what he collects.....

You see, I have the opposite problem. Just a little bit of cash and way too many things I want...that are currently available for me to purchase. I need more money to support this nasty coin habbit I have.

Not really looking for much these days but if I were, it might be a toner.

I've had this problem before. I used the money to take flying lessons (though that cost may have driven my reduced looking for coins). I'm facing the problem now, as well. I'm going to move a lot to savings, and figure that when something does show up, I'll have made some more spending money.

I really did not intend for this thread to be a solicitation for coins to add to my collection.

The next coin will come eventually...they always do. Meantime, I'm just saving my money or spending it on other things.

I only meant to emphasize that specialized collecting requires patience. And patience is not always a collector's most obvious attribute.
