Yes.
They are paring down their offerings so much they took away a set they didn't have and therefore made a new one or something. I don't know what is going on....

as Billy Kingsley points out, perhaps they are selling them as coin dealers sell them... 3 at a time?
(however, I'd rather have all 4)
Six if the hockey pucks come in both BU and Proof.
I am curious if the uncirculated coins in the three-packs will be matte.
On another note, my wife received a mailer today from something called PCS Stamps and Coins of Norwalk, CT selling one each BU in a fancy schmancy panel for only $15.95 per panel plus $2 shipping. She even has a "Vault Access Certificate." I wonder which one of the magazines she subscribes to sold her name on a mailing list. May they rot in he77!

I also noted the little ™ next to the America the Beautiful Quarters™ . I've never noticed that on a US Mint product before.
Oh well, they make em I guess they can hawk them anyway they like.

They did the same thing with the Lewis & Clark (aka Westward Journey™) nickels in 2004, '05 & '06.

In fact, it's cheaper to get the 5-P & 5-D Uncirc's, obtain the proofs separately. Think of the S&H, people.
I can understand why many people just breeze right by these, and have no desire to collect them. Having been to many, many National Parks, though, they have some meaning for me. It isn't going to break the bank to pick these up as they come about, and the memories they refresh for me makes the small price worth it.
But that's just me. You might smoke a different tobacco...

I had not known of this and other new options until seeing the later links provided in this thread. A business-strike set could look really good, and help those of us who don't have ready access to OBR's at face. When's the last time the Mint offered any business strikes in a similar short set? The 3-piece Westward Journey 2006? I will definitely order this set, to go with the full mint set, and the full proof set.
Do you think this option and other subscriptions will become available as regular catalog items? I've never known any Mint offering to be subscription only, have you?

The product descriptions make a distinction of uncirculated quarters in the 3-piece set ($13.95) and a 10-piece set ($21.95), and circulated quarters in another 10-piece set ($9.95). I assume that means the uncirculateds in the 3-pack will be satin-finish only.

Or order them all at the same time and only pay one shipping charge. Myself I would wait untill the annual silver and regular proofs sets are available and save more on shipping that way. That is if I was going to get anything from the mint this year.

so it still sounds cheaper to buy the 10 coin satin finish set for $21.95 and add the silver set for less than the 5 3 coin sets.
I guess it's all about the wrapper, huh????
