Dear eBay member,
The transfers are only impossible to find in high grade if people are looking for them in the first place.
"Dear camerapro12, Sorry but we can't pay you for this auction."

That will also anger some people, but not as much, and it certainly won't result in negative feedback.

List auctions with a starting price that you can live with. I would never start an auction at .99 cents on an item like that.
I did once on an item I paid like 225 and you guessed all time low on VCP average sell price was 215 mine ended at 116. sent it to the buyer with insurance (250) crossed my fingers and hoped the mailman would lose it.

Well if he don't mind I say give'm what he don't mind!

Don't remember what the item was other then a lot of cards (1,000 or more). Think the ending price was less then $10 and seller said wanted no less then $350 and immediately re-listed. I gave a neg stating No Reserve Auction/ Refuses To Sell/Wants No Less Then $350 and reported seller to eBay. Re-listed auction was pulled and seller re-listed with me once again reporting and seller was NARU shortly after.

EBAY Policy:
What we won’t investigate:
We don’t investigate simple misunderstandings, failure to communicate, and interpersonal disputes. For example:
We can’t force sellers to honor their transactions. You should leave appropriate Feedback for the reluctant seller to warn other buyers of his or her past history. Depending on your local jurisdiction, you may have independent legal recourse against the seller.
<< <i>people who list no reserve auctions are idiots anyway. Everyone knows BIN is the way to go. >>
What would you do with the 1/1 Strasburg superfractor? List it at $1000 BIN and lose thousands of dollars?
Just playing Devil's advocate.

+1, the current price isn't totally shocking, the seller knew what he had
"...This guy should get his neg and lose any fee rebates he had...."
/////////////////////////
Agree.
EBAY weill not scold him much since his new listing price
offers "plausible" cover.
He can simply claim he meant to list the item at 99.99,
and mistakenly listed it at .99.
and yes everyone knows BIN is the way to go! EVEN EBAYS VERY OWN CEO!!
read some of the articles on this website about the beloved EBAY
Powersellersunite.com
just a snipped
One article states
<< <i>Donahoe is trying to revive growth at EBay's main e- commerce site after the recession and a drop in demand for online auctions crimped revenue. He has expanded inventory, beefed up fraud protection for buyers and steered the company AWAY FROM AUCTON SALES. >>
another article states
<< <i>At eBay's annual meeting, CEO John Donohoe said that auctions now make up less than half of all listings on the site. And he predicted it would drop to 30% by 2011. Just a few years ago, auctions made up around 70 percent of the listings on the site but in the last quarter they were only 45 percent.
This is not by accident. Since Donohoe took over, eBay has made a concerted effort to look more like Amazon, attract large merchants and focus their growth on fixed price selling. The very nature of the auction business is that it only works when there is a sense of community and a shared passion between buyers and sellers. Those are the traits that made eBay successful. And, these are the same traits that eBay has assiduously tried to kill over the last few years since Donohoe arrived. Actually it started somewhat before Donohoe took over, but has accelerated under his leadership (or should I say lack of leadership).

So yeah I think when THE CEO of the Company is telling ya WHAT direction there moving.... BIN is the way to go NOW ADAYS
Swartz1 there is something you can do AUCTIONS are LEGALY binding and you can report him to ebay and THEY WILL BE Kicked off
just like i posted on The BIN vs Auction debate another BAD reason For Auctions at least Ebay is taking action now adays against these DEADBEAT auction sellers that dont like to HONOR there Auction even if it does close for .99 and worth $100 OH well your the Dingbat to take the risk at listing at .99 not the buyer who but the bid on it. and thats just the thing when you list at auction EBAY ALWAYS HAS THAT MESSAGE START AT .99 to get action going on the listing THAT IS TOTAL GARBAGE they just want to keep there "CHEAP" name tag alive and every new seller believes what ebay says

"overpriced BIN" compared to what a CHEAP closed auction?? if your basing your "overpriced" comment on BV then again BV is only a guided to go by its not a set in stone price and Now adays its pretty much out dated the minute it hits the shelfs. Now adays the Internet is a 24/7 365 days a year Price Guide. "overpriced" Just like "WORTH" and "VALUE" is just an opinion and thats the best thing EVERYONE has different opinions what you may think is overpriced (for whatever reason) others may not.

I knew that, I must have had a brain fart. I prefer auctions as well... if you have nice listings and start low you can get great prices still.

Come one... if an item sells for $80-100 10 times at auction, and is listed at $199 via BIN, that BIN is overpriced. It's worth $100.

Buyers protest over the cost of eBay returns
Daily Mail
By Jo Thornhill
EBay users are demanding that the online auction site reviews the protection it offers to buyers because many are being left out of pocket when making returns.
If buyers receive an item bought through eBay that is not as described on the website, or is faulty, they can ask the seller to resolve the situation.
If the seller refuses to do so, the buyer can claim a refund via the eBay buyer protection scheme, but the company requires the purchaser to pay the cost of returning the item and this is not refunded.
Although buyers can pursue sellers for the costs under the Sale of Goods Act, it often means resorting to the small claims court.
Stephen McGlade, a solicitor with consumer lobby group Which?, says eBay should look at its buyer protection policy because it unfairly favours sellers and is not in the spirit of the law.
'The law states that if a buyer makes a ''distance'' purchase - that is they don't see the goods until they arrive - and then the goods are not as described, the buyer has the right to reject the item and receive a full refund,' he says.
'It is not the buyer's responsibility to return the goods - they only have to make them available for collection. While eBay says buyers have the right to pursue their legal right to a refund if a seller refuses to give back delivery costs, it would be better to see eBay's own buyer protection scheme stepping in to help buyers in such instances. It doesn't really go far enough.'
Investment analyst Justin Modray, 40, from Camden, north London, fell foul of this after he bought a bathroom basin on eBay from a seller in Durham two months ago.
The basin cost £40 but when it arrived it was shorter than the seller had described on eBay. Unfortunately for Justin, this meant it did not fit.
'When I contacted the seller for a refund he said he'd only refund me if I returned the item,' says Justin. 'But this was going to cost me £30. When I called eBay it stood by its policy.'
Justin returned the basin and is now out of pocket. He is pursuing his case in the small claims court out of principle.
'It would not be necessary for me to go to the courts if eBay's buyer protection scheme wasn't so blatantly biased towards sellers,' he says.
Jenny Thomas of eBay says: 'I appreciate that Mr Modray is frustrated at having to pay the £30 return costs, but unfortunately we do only refund the purchase price plus the original postage and packaging cost through the eBay buyer protection programme.
'Ebay is a marketplace so it is not party to the contract between buyer and seller. Buyers who are not happy can still pursue the seller through the courts.'
