Bag Spotting

I have unopened bag of 1980 Lincoln cents and I am wondering is spotting common more in bags or rolls? Also are coins often better quality from bags than rolls?
Thanks,
Joseph

  • I have found better quality in rolls personally since coins in bags continue to rub against each other. I know spotting is very common on a lot of the coins coming out of the mint these days and I would think it would be less of an issue back in 1980 but I don't know if coins in bags have a larger chance of spotting then coins in rolls?
  • Rolls are better than mint bags from what I've seen.
