Picked up an 1835 25c just before my golfing trip.......

DoubleEagle59DoubleEagle59 Posts: 8,381 ✭✭✭✭✭
Just came back from Roanoke VA and had 7 days of sun and golf.....

Here's an 1835 25c I recently purchased.

I know it has rim issues, but ignoring this, what grade would you assign to it?

Also, if any golf experts can help me with my swing, please chime in. (I think I have rim issues too around my mid-section).image

AU50 details depending on what kinda luster is poking through that wonderful crust! Rim issues or not, that's a nice piece.
Positive BST transactions with: too many names to list! 36 at last count.

    1. Your rolling on the outside of your back foot - off balance.
    2. Toe-out on the front foot restricts your back swing and results in poor alignment.
    3. Ditch the cart and carry your bag - it will help the rim issues.
    4. Your standing on the wrong side of the ball. image

It looks like you are trying to break the habit of a baseball stance and swing. If that's the case and if it continues to be a problem, you might look into Moe Norman's grip and swing.

I would not argue with Lakesammman's assessment, but would add that the one flaw I see is the elbow not tucked into the side on the backswing. image
Otherwise, I see luster on the coin and am between XF45 and AU 50, for this reason I'd say "bogey".
  • XF 45, and you are on wrong side of ball.

I can't see the coin but most low handicap golfers could improve their game by spending more time working on their tempo than their swing. --Jerry (7.3)

    XF40-45

    1) At least your head is down, the rest needs changing (see previous poster's comments).
    2) I don't see you using a tee on the fairway, you're not playing real golf.
    3) If you swing and are out of breath walking back to the cart, something's wrong...way wrong.

I agree #1 is a big issue. # 2 front foot can be flaired a little but not wide open.

    They quarter looks great.

Decent coin- these are graded very conservatively- this one should go 45 but is likely a 40

I'm seeing driver/3 wood, no tee. I'm thinking long par 5 or really short drive on a par 4.
