STATE KERTER ERROR QUESTION??

BAJJERFANBAJJERFAN Posts: 31,402 ✭✭✭✭✭
I have a 2003-P Illinois quarter pulled from a new roll that looks like it was coated in graphite or charcoal. It is gray-black in appearance. Wonder if it might be a sintered planchet. Would these have any collector value?

No one actually collects those, do they?

I spose a few do. I was going thru a roll helping out friends who wanted them and I stumbled across that one. I misplaced it about 6 years ago and just found it again yesterday.

Definitely sounds like a sintered planchet error which some do collect.

It will be a very narrow market though.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!
