<< <i>How do you know what the seller paid for it? >>
You are correct. I think the assumption is that the seller nailed four 70DCAMs. He may have bought them individually and them submitted them for reholder-who knows...
Either way, the is a heck of allot of money for those coins.

Man, at one time, I think I had about 10 of these PCGS MS and PR 70 First Strike four coin sets. I think all said and done, I made 9% profit on all the 2008 American Buffalo Coins I bought and sold. That was within a month of them going on sale.

Jesse, me too, but much higher quantity.
No Way Out: Stimulus and Money Printing Are the Only Path Left
<< <i>Yes its a lot to pay for that set. I see the seller saying the last set sold for $18,977.70. >>
....I don't think that other lot sold....if you see the listing, in the price it shows "Price: US $18,977.70 ", indicating it did not sell, otherwise it would have stated "Sold for $18,997.70"....and the three offers were declined or expired.
<< <i>Seller has 7 feedback and buyer 5. Not much for such a high final auction price. Not too confident in that. >>
A lot of high feedback sellers opened second, third and more accounts to take advantage of cashback and the old 5 free listings per month per account. Also, smart sellers buy and sell with different accounts so buyers will not know what the seller paid for the item. I use multiple accounts for bookkeeping purposes.
A smart buyer knows that the safest purchase is from a seller with low feedback (less than 100 sales). Paypal freezes the funds for a while to ensure buyer is satisfied.

Concord
they cancelled all bids on this a couple weeks ago because they felt 2008-W and 2008 W are big differences
if they do that, it is also possible they would shill in my opinion
<< <i>Wow what a waste of money. >>
You big dummy. If it's not what you collect it's a wast of money. --Jerry
<< <i>And will the winning bidder honor his/her bid? >>
I see no reason not to. This is about the market for these. --Jerry
I automatically assume it's a shill and no sale actually took place.

(They set up precious metal IRAs and sell gold coins, retail)
Did not know they had an ebay outlet, news to me.
Though - it doesn't look like they are using the venue much.
They have a massive marketing budget (for instance, a radio show) and could set a large market share I imagine, in the niche.
Should they choose to do so...
Anybody know if they have an alternate ebay ID?
