The date 1923 seems alittle freakish to me- very strong and the digits do not look consistent with what I ususally see. That might be due to the obverse strike, which for the date, looks well above average. While the date has left me with question as to whether it is authentic- and I doubt that it counterfeit- this one is easily VF25 and likely VF30.

    1935 DDR 1 is likely G6

    1935 DDR 2 is likely VG10

And here I was hoping for at least a Fine on the second 35 DDR. image

I'm pretty much in line with what coinkat posted, though the 23S looks like it might have corrosion issues also. The obv of the second DDR nickel looked Fine, but the rev looks VG. Roll finds, I assume?

I was tasked by a dealer friend to sort through 10,000 buffalo nickels. Put the dated ones in a bag and the non dated in another. While I was searching, I pulled out any cool varieties that I knew of to look for. The 23S just stood out at me, so I puilled it out, too. The dealer let me have these three (along with the thin planchet Buffalo in my other post from the other day) for nothing. image It was my payment for sorting the nickels for him. I did it at my leisure in my living room while watching television in the evenings after dinner.

In case you missed the 1936S thin planchet, it is in this thread. The planchet weighs 3.2 grams.

The 23-s is a 30 in PCGS plastic. VG on the DDR's.
