Barber dimes- on avegarge on better date/ better grade dates what shoudl I expect to pay? How close

I know there are deals to be had, we all run into them, but lets say for example a 1895-O is for sale in a PCGS F-12 holder, bid is $700 and ask is $775. Should I expect to find one on ebay or a dealers website for bid?? ask?? 15% above ask? What is the market trading at realistically?

Calling Boyhowdie - he knows the Barber dime market as well as anyone - I'm bumping this up as I want to see some educated opinions. I do know that I come across better date Barber dimes in VF-AU more frequently and at closer to Bid prices at shows more so than the quarters and halves, but I only dabble in the market. I do not know how they fair at the auctions.

I wish I could be of help - but - I only collect AU 55-58 Barber Dimes
and am always looking to upgrade the 55's to 58's.

Aside from BoyHowdy who has been collecting Dimes for quite awhile,
RLD14 could chime in - as he's working ona VF certified Barber Dime set.

My 1895-O is XF 45 and I paid between Bid and Ask of the XF greysheet. If a coin of R-6 can be sold at that level I suspect you can find most Barber dimes in that range.

It's been my experience with the dimes that, in VF-XF they can quite frequently be bought for close to sheet, the Halves and Quarters? Fuhgeddaboutit. Dimes? Yes, quite often.
