when all is said and done the bill will be close to $650 unless "points" can be used. to me, the coin just looks too bright and the faint traces of tone at the rim spell "NCS" which means it's at least stable.
i didn't mean that if you see tone at the rim like this that the coin was dipped, i wouldn't want to mislead you like that. it's just been my experience with certain coins i've sent to NCS/NGC that often there is remnants of the tone left that gives this appearance, and coupled with the overall brightness and "look" of the coin that's what i conclude.

Understood. I was under the impression the overall brightness would have been a factor of dipping and the toning remnant around the edges would have been something left over from NCS (as in a conservation effort to stop corrosion, etc). Granted, toning is technically (and I stress technically) some form EV damage (change in metal composition) but that wasn't what I had in mind. There are Peace dollars out on Ebay I've come across that have the type of deep toning that I could see being left at the rims after a conservation/dipping effort.
Not saying this coin falls into that category by any means Alltheabove76. Looks like a nice coin from the pics. Hopefully it will grade as you hope and it hasn't been through the process Keets described.
Keets, thanks for the insight. Much appreciated, and something to keep an eye out for going forward.

You did well; don't worry about all the pcgs crossover nonsense.
If the coin is lustrous, you probably made a nice score...

Interesting. Something I would have never known to look for or know what it may have meant even if I saw faint traces of tone on the rims.

I hope they don't grow back for you
the reverse seems weakly struck - very little leg detail
if the luster is all there, very nice coin for very nice price
