78-S PCGS Trade Dollar- need help - (pics added and a question)

in PCGS AU55..........This is not my series, and considering
taking the coin as payment for some money owed to me....Id probably
try to sell it.......

1)whats it worth ?, or any comments either way on it

2) I noticed that the "4" on the Rev is odd, it does not have
the crosslet if thats the right term...you can barely see it in the pic
Is this a variety of Trades?....I looked at about 100 pics of them on the net and
cant find one like it...

any help from a expert on these would greatly be appreciated...THx Thx !!!

    350$ and up depending on the look. If it is dipped out and ugly it could be as low as 275$ish. I would not pay more then 400 for a 55+ CAC "LQQK" as they are just too common to strech too far for PQ. Of note - always look at the 420 and arrows on the REV for doubling, If you find one there could be some value there for you.

    I'll see if I can look at the photos when I get home, but nice AU 1878-S trade dollars aren't nearly as common as 1877-S, 1874-S, 1876-S I/I or I/II or 1875-S I/I.

    You got a good answer from Crypto.If I needed it,I would probably pay $350.

    Avg coin with decent 2nd skin and not the DDR die, 325$-350$
