It has been graded by SGS,but you need to understand that their standards are not anywhere close to Pcgs. The coin may very well be a cleaned AU coin.I would consider it ungraded or avoid it altogether.

This is the reason Ebay has a list of grading companies that it recognizes as reputable when it comes to coin certification:

    Listing coins on ebay

The one in your link is well known for EXTREMELY overgrading coins. Your seller gave his opinion in the description of what he thought the coin really graded. I would go with the sellers opinion over that of SGS. I would also buy raw before I bought SGS. I made the mistake of buying a couple of SGS MS70 state quarters. Turns out they were worth 25 cents. Another problem with some grading companies is that they will not hesitate to grade and slab a problem coin that would never get by a reputable grading company.

I'll second that and also tell you to run away from the SGS coin...fast.

thks everyone for the information, and the link to ebay never saw that before, it still amazes me that some of these graders can be that far off from pcgs and ngc. will stick with buying those is slabs and keep reading the books thks again .......................

There is no shortage of Morgan dollars...no shortage at all. You'd be much better going to a small/medium size coin show and spending some time looking over the sea of Morgan Dollars....talking with a few dealers, and getting a nice coin that way. At least you'll have a better shot at it.
