1896-O Half

Hey

What does this coin grade and what would it be worth? Is 1896-O a key date? I have noticed it lists for more than other barbers

Thanks

As for value, check the current price guides and auction results for a figure.

It's a G-4 to possibly a G-6. It's worth about $30 or so in that condition. It's a coin that gets VERY pricey as the grades go up, I have an F-15 that I am planning on selling, it's probably a $3-400 coin right now, in VF more than that.

Barber Halves are easy to find in G-VG, once they hit fine they are scarce and in VF-XF they can be, for certain dates, extremely rare.

better date g4 or so even with the bad scratch it would sell easy on ebay. Barber Halfs are popular in all circ grades.

G4 but with the reverse rim bump and wear into the letters will wholesale at half of good bid. You might get close to G4 money on eBay but with fees etc. I would estimate your net at around $20.
