    Agree. Could be a 53 or 55 depending on how those many tic marks and that scratch show up when the coin is examined in hand.

    AU-58, just too much chatter in the fields to be uncirculated.

    Regardless of the assigned grade, I'd prefer a cleaner looking example.

    Depending on how your lights are positioned, some rather tiny hairlines can look like Brillo marks. Even that mark in the R. obv field could actually be fairly insignificant, and only show up at one angle. Just saying... but I agree it looks AU something...

    Looks like it may be the elusive 61-S. Nice coin.

    If thats a scratch on the right obverse field...thats a big drawback in my eye. MS61 with that, but could just as well be AU58. who knows.
    The little scruff...hey, its 150 years old......been through God knows how many coin collections 'raw' since the civil war ....those little marks happen. Not all photographs catch them though,.

    So I like it all but for that scratch.

    AU 58 due to what looks like a few tics and a light scratch.
