July 24th 1885 "The World" newspaper came in the office today.

I know this is not coin related but I have to share......I'm in the coin shop today, only open for four weeks now and in walk a couple who have a box and ask me what I know about "documents?" I have to be honest and say "not much" but I would love to see what you have. The box opens and out comes a group of papers that were put in copper time capsules in a rubber factory in NJ. One box in 1885 and one box in 1935. The papers from 1885 were incredible although cracked, broken and damaged. The documents from 1935 were in good shape....listing of the owners, office personel, workers and others. There were bank drafts, a listing of inventory available and used each day in the plant, business cards, and more......
I get to the bottom of the box and what's there????? a newspaper titled "THE WORLD" and on the front page dated July 24th (I think) 1885 the death of President Ulysses S. Grant. The paper was in such tender/bad shape I didn't dare try and turn a page.
What a way to spend an hour out of your day!
