Break Out to Crossover?

While looking at my stuff I ran across a set of '54 Carver/Washingtons in small ANACS holders. They are graded 64, 63, and 64. I have had them for years and bought them at a time when it wasn't worth the touble to try to upgrade them. Would they stand a better chance broken out or in the current holders. If they wouldn't upgrade I would just as soon have them as they are. I do not need the coins for any reason other than just to have them. The three coin set is beautiful as is but I think the 54-D deserves better than a 63. I have no pictures and my photography skills doean't allow me to post accetable photos to help anyone's opinion. My question is would submitting them in the cureent holders influence the graders?

grade of MSXX and hope for it. That way you at least get them back as they were.
Then you might get lucky and upgrade one or two.
good luck,

As a rule of thumb, I would not even consider having a coin graded unless it were valued at 10x the fees or more.
Also, if the graders cannot see the edge of a submitted coin, do you really expect it to cross at grade?

you have them
<< <i>I would leave the coins in their current holders, simply because the grading/shipping fees are too large a percentage of the values of those coins.

What is the difference between a 64+ edge and a 65 edge? Basically, they want to see if the edge has been damaged.
It would be interesting to know what percentage of coins don't cross due to edge issues. I'd bet it is fairly small.
