Enviromental damage = NT ?

In this auctionthe seller claims:

"Graded Uncirculated Environmental Damage, this means that the TONING IS NATURAL."

I emailed him asking "Why are you lying to people?" with his statement quoted. That was all I wrote

He threatened to repot me to ebay. Then he did. EBAY sends me a warning that I have violated their TOS of their email system.
Not sure if i was wrong about it or not but now I have a warning on my record image

Well...I suppose technically he's not lying to people...the coin was toned through enviromental damage, which I guess is what he's saying. At least he clearly shows the holder, so people know what they're getting.

Mumu, my only issue with your email to the seller is you state, "Why are you lying to people?" in regards to his statement within the auction text the toning is natural.

You do this and then start this thread with the question, "Environmental (fixed the spelling for you...) damage = NT ?"

A strategy of soliciting the seller's positive reaction to your inquiry by calling him a liar is probably not the best in achieving your goal of furthering education.

Well truth be told I was also annoyed by his high price tag. I may have been interested in the coin despite the supposed damage at a much lower price but his BIN price just screams of a dishonest seller and it really peaved me. I admit my email was not of the classiest etiquette but at the same time I think his intent is obvious.

Now on that we can agree!
It would be a cool coin to pop out of its slab and place into a DANSCO over $100. for the chance to do so?

    Pass.

I think your email was a bit rude and also think your title is misleading since the seller is not stating environmental damage=NT. Rather, the seller is stating that the coin is slabbed with the notation of "Environmental Damage" and his conclusion from this notation is that NGC believes the toning to be NT. These are not the same conclusions.

Hmm. I suppose you may be right though I think it is possible to also conisider what was used to tone it caused the enviro damage no?
