FYI, there's a strong DDO quarter that can be found in the same sets. It is one of the first doubled dies which is visible on the mintmark, since 1990 was the first year they were added to the fgalvano rather than punched into individual dies.

....this is true however the CW story highlighted the nickel and mentioned the quarter in the story. image

The nickels looked fine but many of the cents were missing the mint mark, is it to late to return my defective coins to the mint?

its funny read this post the first day and bought two sets for 9 bucks each with shipping now it seems like there is not one set without a bid on it. the search continues..............................The condition is excellent. The coins are in the original box, original case and the original certificate of authenticity. The coins have been in a safe since they arrived from the Mint. how can i say no to that? image

One of these just sold in TT-an NGC PR68 ultra cam-for $380. Kinda cheap compared to it's past performance.

I think the quarter is a nicer doubled die than the nickel.

Just an FYI, if anyone has the 1990 25c DDO please contact John Wexler (jwex@comcast.net) as he needs one to photograph for his upcoming Washington Quarter book.
