How is the Priority Mail shipping working out? Everybody recieving everything? in a timely manner?

I know it's fast. I'm more interested in hearing of any losses?

    It's working great. Very happy.

The only time a package of mine was lost was when it was accidentally sent without insurance, first-class ($200 coin). I still have the coin in my PCGS inventory waiting for the day I get a request to remove it from the new owner. Not sure how I will handle that one. I suppose I will just have to remove it. But I may try to ask a question or two.

I've not had any issues yet.

I think you are correct that it is faster. I think they slowed down the speed of regular first class mail, though.
  • Does PCGS provide a tracking number? to the Authorized Dealer?

    A shipment of 4/12 hasn't shown up.

Have you been to your Post Office to ask about it? One of my previous mail carriers had a very bad habit
of not leaving a notice of attempted delivery. When a package is over due, I always go to the P.O. and it's
    usually there.

I had a Priority package get lost in transit for a bit and it took 11 days to get here (California to Wisconsin). It was a scary one because the seller didn't track OR insure it! Glad it finally showed up.

Otherwise I've noticed they move quick and I haven't noticed a slowdown in first class.

Doesn't everything move via plane now? Why pay for priority to get a package to its destination maybe, and thats a BIG maybe, one day quicker?

Bushmaster - I had a brief discussion with a counter clerk today. I mentioned that I just had a #10 1st class letter take 9 calendar days to go from Western N.Y. to a Detroit suburb. Her only comment was that some recent personnel cutbacks have slowed delivery times nationwide. Don't be surprised if Saturday delivery is eliminated soon also.

Took 1 week, 6 business days, for last week's TT win to get to me.
Mail I send out, priority, or first class, usually takes 1-3 days. Getting to me has been another story image

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

I lost an International Priority box a few months ago to England. It was an $1800 coin that the buyer convinced me to sell and ship without insurance. First mistake.

I made the 2nd mistake of simply dropping it into the postal slot with eBay Click and Ship postage, Delivery Conf -- Priority. Rules require counter receipt.

The parcel never arrived, delivery confirmation FAILED since it never showed as SHIPPED and PP sided with the buyer and I lost the $1800. POOF.

Two mistakes: selling without any insurance, and not sending through the postal counter (scan) for arrival to the PO. The PO clerk seemed to think it would still arrive fine, but not show in the tracking system.

No sign of delivery -- and a $1800 loss. Needless to say, EVERY package is sent REGISTERED mail now to England since that affords the best assurance (not insurance) since it goes all the way under lock and key -- slowly... (3 weeks).

    ...also...

I ship routinely from Alaska to the US and Flat Rate Priority is the best. Usually takes 4-5 days ANYWHERE in the US. Kudos to the USPS.

Makes me upset with the sellers who refuse delivery to AK when it cost the same to anywhere else in the US!
