What Is "MSOP"

I saw a 1964-D Washington Quarter listed as a MSOP.

    Manufacturers suggested offering price?

If it's listed at 25¢ this would be my guess.

    I found a 1964-D Washington Quarter D/D
Looking around CONECA and Jose Cortez's site and others, this appears to be a scarce coin.
At the ANACS population listing, there is 1 single MSOP coin.....(i was looking here for D/D varieties)
Just wondered what the heck it is?

It just says MSOP...there is no picture or description.

Here in the oilfield where I work it stands for "maximum safe operating pressure".

Sure hope that doesn't have anything to do with the Wasie you saw for sale. image

Here in this part of Florida we refer to the MSOP's as the "Many Senile Old People" from the north who plague us on our roads December thru April...

I have seen this used in reference to Mint Set Original Packaging...i.e., the coin has been cut from the mint set but is still sealed in its particular section of the pliofilm. Just a thought.

Just today The Man (ever the fountain of unnecessary information, who is acting more and more like Mr. Peterman every day), told me what VSOP stands for. Although I have had some very expensive cognac in the past, I never knew what it stood for. image
