    At what rate?

Does that apply to bidders from CA? --Jerry

A little over 8%, most people I come across on Ebay for instance don’t charge the tax if selling outside the state.

They've tried numerous times to get the law changed but it's failed.

I believe the tax rate would be whatever the state charges on sales tax if the purchase is made in the same state that you reside in.

Here's a link to the states and their sales tax rates...Scroll down to find the different states and an explanation of how each state applies their sales tax.

If you don't pay a sales tax at the point of sale then it's called USE tax and is owed at the end of the year on your tax return to the state you reside unless coins are specifically exempted or limited by dollar value on purchases.
