The title hints that it's short report. The title suggests the subject matter. It's a link. Reading it is optional
I always post the Legend Report on Sundays' It's sort of habit.
Most of her reports are haymakers. This was barely a jab. They all can't be epics
Smoetimes it's a slow newsday. This appears to be one of them
EBAY and CAC get plenty of play on these boards. At least Legend is a paid advertiser (maybe EBAY is a paid advertiser?)
It's sort of ironic that even the most benign Legend report will draw the are of some

Buying top quality Seated Dimes in Gem BU and Proof.
Buying great coins - monster eye appeal only.

How is it "self-promoting"? MJ does not own Legend or financially (or otherwise) benefit from posting it.

He may of meant Laura's reports are self serving? That's how I took it. Anyways, she always begins her reports that it's from Legends point of view, so.............
Anyways, no big deal. MJ

Seems to me the fact that a major dealer can't find coins and is practically begging to buy nice ones is the type of news that people really should know. It's a far better indication of the strength of the market than most signs.
<< <i>self-promoting market report not forum post >>
Well, if you do not want to read her market reports, no one is forcing you to do so.
I am a devoted Legend fan. Like her or not, Laura is by far one of the best dealers to work with. She stopped me cold on buying things that I now see would have lost me a bunch of money. When she said to buy proof type below $1,000.00 in PR64, I did , ditto with buying MS66 Saints for $2,200.00.
Justacommeman must like punishment. However he is doing many collectors a huge favor by posting her reports. People should try reading them for change.
Does this get me a discount on my next order????

No worries. She said the same thing the last time I saw her.............MJ
edited to say Goodnite. Just recently returned from Asia and back on EST. Me so tired

expect a 25% jump in value of PQ material

So, circ coins from eBay aren't real coins? What a stupid and elitist statement.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

Laura is The Showroom ! She is Legend and not Will Smith.

I knew it would happen.
<< <i>I keep thinking that my coins are real, what what do I know, anyways?
If they are circ coins from eBay, apparently they aren't real coins according to one forum member.

Enough of that, sorry - I don't dabble in the Legend kind of coins, but I still like reading her and anyone else's market reports. I just don't like elitism regardless of the source, as I find it disparaging to the great majority of 'real' collectors, not to mention my personal collections and inventory.
Sorry, but elitism is here to stay. All sorts of companies market to the top tier - and that's what Legend is geared for. That doesn't mean, however, that they don't carry inexpensive coins sometimes - and Laura herself usually collects circulated coins.
<< <i>We're famous for buying MANY multimillion dollar complete collections to get a few coins we need. >>
This got me thinking... When Legend does this, they must end up with lots of coins that are unsuitable for listing amongst the gems on their site.
Now, how could they get rid of these lesser coins without tarnishing the Legend name?
I know! Satellite company. An affiliate. Now my imagination is going.
Imagine 'Larry', Laura's cheaper alter ego, writing the Dreck Market Report a fictitious coin site called 'Dreck Numismatics Ltd'. Done correctly, it could also be a good april fools joke.
I bet the reality is more boring. They just quietly resell directly to another dealer.
<< <i>How many circ barber halves does Legend carry? Oh that's where you get the 'real coin' MS66 Saints from....great coins are not cheap, yada yada.....

My thoughts as well.
<< <i>No, Legend does not have a showroom.

An AU-58 run of early halves is not "circulated coins" in the sense they mean!
...I'm just mad I didn't get to see them...

Learn something new everyday. I thought for the last few years they had an actual store. Legends reports are most likely self serving and WHY NOT? I know i market my business to where it best works for me. We live in a elisted country, those that compalin the loudest are not at the top. I would be willing to bet most of my drecky wigits that legend could sell 100 million dollars worth of good quality coins in short order. Then again that is the problem, you can not find enough of the good stuff.
Is there a story somewhere on how Legend began?

same old, same old, IMHO.
<< <i>It just seemed a simple, self promoting post - as most are now that i think of it. >>
A dealer promoting their business on their own website? Oh- the humanity!
I purchased a very nice MS66 S Mint Walker in Baltimore under $500 and the coin is easily in the top 5% of the 66 coins out there. I saw at least 20 on the floor and some were cheaper but nothing nearly as nice.
Buying coins is easy, when it comes time to sell what do you want in your collection?

Yeah.......the truth is, Legend could start giving away free coins at the next Baltimore show, and the only thing you would hear about it on the Forum is people complaining they didn't get their "fair share."
