Need help identifying coin/medal

raycycaraycyca Posts: 1,635 ✭✭✭
I recently found this coin in my Dad's collection as I'm getting near the bottom of the piles. Can anyone help me identify this coin/medal? Any assistance would be appreciated! Thanks a lot in advance and have a great day! Ray

Thaks. Now I know a little about the coin. Is there any value or rarity associated with it? Thakns again. Ray

There is a price attached in my second link:
1777 France Prepares to Aid America Medal- AU55 $650
Silver-Betts 558 114.1 grains. 28.8 mm. Reeded edge. Bust of
Louis XVI on the obverse, reverse a vignette featuring male and
female figures representing the goddess of Peace and Mars, the
God of War with the motto: Pacem arma tuentur; translated as
“Arms Preserve Peace”. Problem free with natural toning.

    That is all I found.
