In my mind, a good candidate is a coin already in PCGS plastic that is undergraded. That coin appears to be in NGC plastic; so no, not a good candidate.

What do you mean by "good"? What is its current grade and what are you hoping for? A plus? Or are you thinking about a coin whose laser image you'd like to have on file?

I think a lot of folks are hoping for that plus and less interested in the scan.

Everyone has their own methods of choosing a coin for this CC special, I'm sure.

I selected a half dozen candidates, eliminated those I thought we're clearly undergraded, and considered the projected value difference for a plus and the desirability of having a laser image on file. Then I selected the coin I thought was properly graded but on the high-end of the scale.

Still, I am not optimistic. PCGS is wisely making pluses very hard to come by.

Your coin looks to be a very pretty CBH. I don't think eye appeal is going to be as big a factor in plus designations as the coin's technical grade.
    Lance.

    edited for spelling.
