Should this seller get positive feedback?

This is in reference to the Barber Half Dollar in this thread.
In the above thread, the seller, mumu, mentioned about me leaving feedback.
Personally, I think feedback should be deserved and not be an entitlement. I think feedback is based on accuracy of description and timeliness of delivery - about the only things feedback can be based on.
So here's the story...
Won auction Sunday, March 7, 2010 and I paid via Paypal March 7, 2010. --I did my part--
Received email from seller Tuesday, March 16, 2010 saying there was a delay in the shipping.
Received email from seller Friday, March 19, 2010 saying he mailed the item but was returned to him as undeliverable and asked for my address again, which I promptly provided. I actually worried here about ever getting the item (how hard can it be to label a package going to a PO Box...), but gave the seller the benefit of yet another chance...
Received email Tuesday, March 23, 2010 with tracking number. This is also when the item was mailed.
Received item on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
So timeliness is about a 1 star on ebay's grading system.
Also notice in the thread that I provided my own pictures. My pictures are with 'Reveal' lighting. I could not duplicate the seller's colors. I do not have any problem with this and I am not doubting the seller's pictures (I am not the greatest photographer)- it is still a fine looking coin and I think I paid a fair price for it ($251.50 for the coin and $4.95 for shipping)
I am not disappointed with the item - just with the timeliness of the seller's communication and timeliness of delivery - this is why I did not leave positive feedback. My typical feedback is "Item as described, fast shipping, thanks!"
So... should this seller receive positive feedback, why & what could I possibly leave as a comment ? I would like to hear opinions on this matter.

I am editing this to say I have never left negative or neutral feedback to any seller and sellers have always left me positive feedback.

<< <i>I probably would leave nothing, if I left a positive (as you seem happy with the coin) I would certainly ding them on delivery. >>
I agree.
I didn't like the comments the seller made - saying "you got the coin for a song"{*}
- insinuating that shipping late was acceptable because you got the coin so cheaply.
[ I think you paid a very fair price, maybe a tad too fair a price, IMHO.] {* - I was really put off by that remark.}
I wouldn't waste the energy leaving him any feedback.

If you mail enough packages, eventually, you'll screw up an address. I know I have. If you believe that's what happened ("but gave the seller the benefit of yet another chance"), it looks like it's quite possible he mailed the package at worst, one business day after receiving your confirmed address, as you sent your address to him on Friday, some people don't work on weekends, and he shipped on the following Tuesday.
In the overall scheme of things, is a two week wait to receive a purchase really that big a problem?
I am going to do nothing - because I just can't justify leaving 5 stars and I don't want to mess up the seller's fees.
is ebay
give positive, 5 stars
you got the item

<< <i>Several things should be considered , did the coin match the image? >>
Let's just consider this one. Why should a seller automatically be held accountable for how a coin looks on a buyer's monitor?
I am guessing he would rather you NOT leave any feedback
A few years back i got in a tit for tat on ebay feedback and left a neg. In a way i felt bad but he did it to me first. A few weeks later he was asking me to agree to remove it and he would. I said just let it ride...

(The full story of the delay was that while parked at the bank my car got towed with 4 coins inside because my out of state registation sticker fell off during a rain storm or was possibly stolen, i dont know which. They wouldnt let me get the car out of the pound until I showed proof of regisatraion. This took alone took 10 days. I also stupidly used the wrong zip code when mailing the coin a few days prior to the towing. I am not a dealer and dont sell often so I am not as methodical in my shipping and I screwed up. The other 3 coins affected by this delay all left feedback and were understanding but again it was buyers choice and getting 3 out of 4 points, based on the split here appears to be a pretty good result for me so whatever, moving on)
As far as the pictures. You mention you could not "replicate my pictures". I read this , I mean no offense, and immiately thought "What an assessine comment to make". That coin looks EXACTLY like those pictures i supplied. They are actually not my pictures they are the sellers from whom I bought them from and he captured the look of that coin perfectly. I have 6 different monitors that I look at coin pictures with and those pictures hold fidelity to the real coin on all 6 without a question. I dont know what kind of light you are looking at it in, maybe you are looking in a black light room or something, but if you step outside or go by a window that coins will look 100% like those pictures. If you disagree with me even by the narrowst amounts, please return the coin and I will pay what you paid for it + shipping both ways and 10% for your torubles and Ill relist it. Just shoot me a PM about it.

100% not true.
Feedback is used for others to determine if they chooose to do buisness with someone. With people AFRAID to leave negative feedback they only actually hurt other potential buyers by not being honest about there transactions. I always hear people on this board say WOW well he has 3k pos feedback, with people leaving nothing but posotive feedback no matter what its not suprising people have nothing but 100%. It would seem as though for most of this board someone would have to kill a family member in order to get a negative on ebay, even then some of you might decide to skip the feedback depending on how the crime was carried out.

respectfully, not 100% true
feedback is a joke,
we have discussed folks with 99.99% positives
who upon investigation, with toolhaus,
have numerous incidents which mysteriously don't show up.
giving star ratings, to me, seems to be a ploy to raise fees.
is it really so bad, to get your coin 2 weeks late?
not really, IMO
perhaps you could mention that the coin took 2 weeks to arrive because of a shipping problem
but don't ruin his star ratings.
now its different if fraud or nondelivery is an issue,
however paypal will take care of that problem anyhow.
just my opinion
I don't like it, but not as big a deal.
If I thought the seller was screwing with me, then I would be inclined to leave lower feedback. Else, I would probably not leave feedback (which it looks like the OP has elected as his action).
I also don't just try to "stick it to ebay" by always giving out 5-5-5-5
That's kind of like being on a jury, having someone sue mcdonald's because their coffee is "too hot" and them not being careful and getting burned (leaving it high level and not bringing any other factors into it) and awarding that person a ton of money because it is mcdonald's and I don't like them, or they are large and rich, etc.
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

Absolutely! No question at all. You received your item and apparently are pleased with it.
Leave the appropriate DSR's though (which is why they are there).

<< <i>I'd leave a + just based upon the series of events, too funny
I agree, there is nothing to argue about anymore. Just move on.
Let it go, and move on.

Sometimes i think buyer expect to much from ebay sellers. Paypal and ebay stick to the sellers when ever possible wether right or wrong.
Heritage had lousy feedback when they sold on ebay. Buying coins on ebay is different than most of the other catagories on ebay. Shipping fees and shipping times are more $$ and slowing shipping on almost ever non coin item i buy on ebay. Charge more that 2 dollars shipping on a coin and tempers flare. lol

I wasnt negged but i feel the pictures remark here has the potential for more harm to me as a seller.
