Anybody remember Mitch's Coins & Stamps in Berwyn, IL ?

Every now and then I'll get a whiff of "old paper smell" mixed with "old shower curtain" smell that triggers memories of Mitch's.

You could go into his shop in the late early 1980's and find these incredibly toned Treasury Mint Sets for peanuts. Ahh, the good old days....

And right down the street was Jim's coins, where you could buy a nice slider commem for MS65 money if you weren't careful!

    can't say that I do,
but recently I went into a college bookstore
    and library
and the smells brought back some old memories.

Closest store I had was Elmhurst coin on York Rd. They finally closed up about 5-6 years ago. But I remember going in there when I was a kid and buying coins and proof sets!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Me too! I think they actually closed up in 2001...maybe 02. My how time flies. I picked up many a nice raw coin in there and they always graded at PCGS image
