    Thai baht 2505 (1962). Pretty nice condition.

    I can't tell you what it says, but I can tell you what it is:
    Thailand, 1 baht, year BE2505 (1962AD) - though they were continuously minted and issued until 1982 with that same date.

    Looks like a Thailand 1 Baht coin, BE2505 (minted 1962-82), copper-nickel, King Rama IX on obverse, over 800 million minted, worth under a dollar in uncirculated condition (in my 2005 catalog).

    Below the shield it says 'nueng baht' one baht
    I think on the obverse it has 'Pathet Thai' (Thailand) then King Rama 9

    P.S. when I first moved to Thailand in 1984 these were still found in circulation but they slowly disappeared when the new, smaller baht coins came out.

    You folks are fantastic! Spoon, thank you...yours looks to be the same date? I don't even know where (if anywhere) the date would be found on these, but after studying the characters, they do look to me to be exactly the same.

    The date is the upper right of the reverse, 1:00-3:00
