How does one send in coins for review that have turned in the holder?

I'm curious myself. I have a coin to send in for review myself but have been putting it off.
I would guess it starts with a phone call to PCGS stating your intentions with a description of the problem.

Simple. Send it in under "Regrade".

I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

Call the customer service and ask.
When I did it, they had me write OTHER in big letters and then put something like "review" underneath.
This was about 4 years ago, but it is likely similar (writing OTHER).
You aren't really sending it in for a "regrade".

So, call customer service and ask and that will be easiest for you.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

It depends on the problem you have with the coin. There is "spot" review which is free, and "grade review" (I think) which is not.

Call customer service for the latest procedure to fill out the forms. I sent back a couple of coins over the years for artificial frosting and PCGS made me whole. It is one of the reasons why I have the vast majority of my coins in PCGS holders.

    Good luck.

Didn't PCGS say something like "We will not review copper coins for changing in the holder after Jan 2010" or something close to this?

PCGS said they will no longer guarantee copper color graded or sold after 12/31/09.

I have sent such coins in as "other" with "review -- <reason>" in bold letters, just as the PCGS employee wrote when I submitted a coin at a show. I don't think they're too fussy if your intention is clear.

I printed out a submission form, clicked "other", and entered "spot review". Sent no $$$$ either, but you have to pay the postage to get it there.
