    My thought as well.
    When in doubt, don't.

well it looks to be a vf35 details. The older cleaning looks to of been harsh. Hold the coin at a angle under light and move it slowly you will see the results of the cleaning better. I would do an acetone dip and then let the coin rest in an envelope a few years it may re-tone nice. Its a much better date for sure and nice rims on this example.

It does have an old cleaning, but I believe it would grade VF30-35. It has XF40 details, but graders would lower the grade for the "negative eye appeal" (spotty toning). But I like it! image

I'd say VF 35 with a past cleaning.

Having had a few 1893-O Halves in my day - that one is a solid XF 40.

Whether or not its been cleaned is another story; it could have had an
ancient cleaning and is now retoning. Its very hard to tell from the image
if this is the case or not.

    Here are two 1893-O's...

There was no reason to show lower or higher grades, IMHO.

Barbwire...that's a nice coin and one to be proud of. Congratulations.

very cool, I wonder if the O mint is a dynamic with the grade here.
