Looks pretty nice, but I've not had much luck submitting the ones I thought were nice.

Whats the line above In God? Scratch? Obverse looks duller than the reverse....could be the way pic was taken
or that the obverse has had some 'work'.

65 if the luster is as good as every thing else.

The coin has not been "worked" or at least the graders didn't think so. The line above "IN GOD..." is more of a scrape than a scratch.

Assuming the image is not hiding hits or hairlines and the luster is full (2 BIG ifs), looks like a 66 to me. Big bucks if that is the case.

I agree about the strike...WOW. Luster looks a bit lacking. 64-65 would be my guess.

Interesting range of opinions. Reinforces how difficult it is to assess mint state "grades."

The coin has gone off to our hosts by homing pigeon for their professional opinion. It will be interesting to see what they say.

[This came from a bag of mixed dollars searched in the early 1960s. It has been in a cello 2x2 or mylar 2x2 ever since.]

I'm guessing that the discoloration/lighter areas on Liberty's cheek, jaw and neck are due to contact marks/abrasions, so I will guess MS63, with a shot at MS64.

terrific coin- unable to handicap the images to offer a meaningful grade

Nobody said it yet 58. Too much friction from the 2x2.

Tough to gauge from those pics, but super strike, MS65 (if that scrape above "GOD" is minor).

So, does RWB know what the grade is?

    I will guess 64+.

    To follow-up on this coin.
The coin was graded by ANACS as MS 63/63. It was recently graded by PCGS as MS 64.

The photos do not fully resolve small marks that keep the coin out of a higher numeric category.

I have no idea about the grade... 65ish?

    But what a strike!!!

As for strike, compare to the 1924 MS-68 posted elsewhere. (Note: 1924s will not be as detailed as 1927s due to the older hub.)
