What % of auctions do you lose?

If you could put a percentage on the average number of auctions you lose
What percentage would you say?

For me I would say I lost between 60%-80% of the snipe's I set over the last few years

i just took a sampling from the past month:

Won: 22
Lost: 18

I think I lose way more than I win because my buy price is based on me selling for profit in most instances. Even if I'm gonna keep the item I still view it as an investment and bid/snipe accordingly. I have most of my success on auctions that end in the morning or during the week or auctions that have poor pics, descriptions, etc...It's amazing how some sellers will take the time to answer questions or provide scans to messages sent by potential buyers, but won't take the time to do it in their item descriptions.

I seem to never have much luck with those auctions
Everyone it seems is willing to take the chance card is better in hand then the bad picture shows and in turn they drive the bidding up past my set snipe.

Sometimes I wonder if its better to have a semi bad picture of the card your selling then a real nice clear scan of the item.

I win most because I don't place a bid unless I know there is a good chance to win. Also, I manually snipe in the last 15 seconds...only lost three auctions this way, each time because my internet and/or computer froze.

I only bid in situations where it is something I really want & without checking, I would say that I win approx. 80-90% of the eBay auctions I participate in

I would estimate around 85% to 90%.
