Well... I bought another Early Commem...

... and I wasn't going to post the pics as I didn't want to stoke the fires of any future potential competitors for other coins. I decided I can't hold it in... and besides, it is an early commem afterall. They'll probably never be as hot of series as I think they should be.
So... after having divested myself of all but one of my early commems last year I ended up buying another one. I really like the series and even though they may forever lanquish I'll still like them. Sorry the pics are so giant but was just trying to show the coin in detail. The sellers pics show the color better than mine do. In hand it is gorgeous and I was thrilled when I opened up the package today. Comments Welcome.

I'm in total agreement with the eagle design...
I have a Lincoln in a type set album plugged in about 30 years ago.
It was a cleaned XF.
I recently posted that I have decided to pursue collecting them. Here is my first.
I purchased it from fellow forum member LeeG.

Yes the coin is in an NGC Holder and is graded as an MS66. I think it's accurately graded and very eye-appealling for the issue unless you like 'em white.
I had looked for an Illinois the last time I was acquiring them but never came across one that I really liked without someone else liking it "more" or "first"
The only commem I kept from before was a common one but one I really like the look of... it's an Oregon in PCGS MS65 with attractive rim toning on both sides.
I can tell you this... I really regret selling off the ones I did. I don't think I realized how nice they really were. Now that I'm looking again I just don't see too many that I like; or if I like can afford.
Thanks again,
Richard

Congrats and I'd say you choose wise for your first one. One thing for sure... Lee always has nice Commems.
Congrats.
