If your OGH has a gold bean, it would be best to leave it alone.
If it has a green bean, probably still best to leave it alone.
If no bean, send it in for a bean.

I posted this in the HRH thread.........and I still think it would be a good idea......
All right...........from now on you will be able to submit your old pcgs holdered coins for upgrades etc. without losing the holder...Rattlers..Green etc..
If they grade higher / better now then what's on the slab.....your gonna get a numbered new grade or PQ football/sticker from pcgs on your originally submitted slab so you don't lose the premium associated with the old holders, if no upgrade......you just get your original slab back , all at a fee of course, gotta pay the rent....
I'll keep all my OGH/Rattlers!

Agree. There is no way in he11 that I would lose my OGH or rattler holders. Of course, everyone already knows coins in those old holders are undergraded.

It will look better and not smell as bad.
<< <i>If PCGS still guaranteed copper, I'd say try for the + if you felt it worthy, but as a buyer of copper w/o a color guarantee, I'm more comfortable with an OGH than I would be with a fresh holder with a + on it. >>
Totally agree. Inevitably, it will make the OGHs and rattlers more valuable (I collect copper as well and I'm purly speaking from that standpoint) because people will eventually succumb and be lured by the +. The pop of the old holders will decline.

The low end ogh's will continue to survive as there is no reason to crack them out. If one does that there is a chance they will downgrade or no grade leaving one a nice loss. It still does come down to the quality of the coin itself. When the market loosens up and gets liquid once again buyers will want the coin over holder. There will be no shortage of buyers for nice coins regardless of stickers, shields, pluses, or stars.
