    How could CAC be done? They are still the third party giving the bean of approval. The plus sign is still from the same party that graded the coin.

    just throwing it out there man.......

    some may feel a + from PCGS would be better than a CAC bean........

    Not at $115 vs $10. There is still a big chitload a PCGS slabs for CAC fodder.

    The CAC news release 3/12/10 says 68,000 coins have received the green bean.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

    I think the + designation will take a bite out of CAC's income. Probably wouldn't want or need the bean if your slab made a +. Shag

    My understanding is that CAC only stickers A & B level coins, and below that they get no sticker. If PCGS is just doing the top 15% of the grade say 65.7-9 then CAC is still relavent in my mind.

    I will have to say that I am new at the coin game and really I am thinking of going back to bullion. This really is a step in taking the collector out of the hobby. Even me as a newby payed up for a coin that I thought was strong for the grade. However, now there will be a price guide that says that will be X dollars.

    This really makes it feel like a cold, sterile hobby.

    Bullion is bullion.

    Dont need to know about +, *, green and gold beans and how they affect the value.

    Its much more straight forward.
