Coin Labeled for life.

My understanding is once a coin is labeled in their system the coin is labeled for life. What happens when TPG's are wrong. When i send it in comes back cleaned, i don't agree and send it in again and it grades? I am guessing this will no longer happen. A Labeled coin is what it is for life? Is this right? I am not sure i like it.

The TPGs are never wrong.

It is not permanent. The coin still has a chance to upgrade, but what the lasers look for is coin doctoring.

watched all of the videos and the part that bothered me was that it's optional... it seems like if this is going to have any "big one" impact that the new scanning machine secure plus treatment would be manadatory for all coins, but i understand the need to start slow and i'm sure it's only time before all PCGS coins are scanned, until then, the doctors have some room to side step the process.
