Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could tell me approx. how long after paying for an auction win how long it takes to receive your lot from Heritage? Thanks and I look forward to the replies. Tony.

up to a week, depending on the location of the coin when auctioned (if it was at lot viewing at a show, it will take longer to get it back to Heritage for shipping)

to the west coast i think it's been anywhere from maybe 4-5 days up to 2 weeks for me... haven't really paid too much attention to it though.
  • Im glad this has been brought up. I have been waiting an item from Heritage since March 11. Not good.

I would think 12 days a reasonable period of time for shipping, payment clearing, etc. What difference does it make in the long run, anyway?

Payment was via credit card. From what I understand, Heritage has not been able to get in touch with the consigner. So who knows how long it will be.
I was told Stacks is fairly slow with shipments. However, I received all my items from them within 10 days.

In the long run not too much difference, except maybe excited anticipation. Thanks for your replies.

It's generally at least 2 weeks for an auction away from Dallas. They often transport everything back to Dallas after a show and ship from there, at least with mine they have.

Depends if it is a Signature type sale or a Sunday night auction type. Live auctions can take a while. Like about the time you think the coins are lost and you will never get them, and you're about to call Heritage and yell for taking so darn long. image
  • Two weeks or so.
  • When paying by e-check it takes about 2 weeks and sometimes 3. If I pay with a credit card/check card I almost ALWAYS get my packages within a week. I slow pay- I wait for 3 or 4 invoices to build up (unless it is from the major shows) so i do not have issues of waiting on coins to arrive back somewhere or anything like that.

I usually pay within a day of the invoice posting. After that, it usually takes two weeks for me to receive my auction wins from Heritage. Bowers, and David Lawrence usually takes only a few days to get to me. With Heritage, one needs to have patience.

Chaze215, was this an auction item or something through Virtual Bourse? PM me if you like and I can look into this.

Not that I'll ever experience it but how are lots valued in 6 figures shipped? Registered?
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.
