This PSA mistake is going to cost some clueless Mickey Mantle collector a pretty penny

1967 Starliner PSA 9 link

It is a sticker from 1983..The original post type card was a Dexter Press and has white borders, not a sticker. That is from 1967...not the sticker. PSA must have stopped grading them when they realized their mistake

How do you know the back is white. The repro stickers have a white back I believe but there were also Starliner stickers with brown backs that were the originals.
Edit: nevermind, checked my set, the orginal brown backed ones are marked "Touchdown Splitless" on the back. The Starliners I believe are all whites. Both used the photos from the '67 Dexter Press set which was a Coca-Cola promotion I believe.

    I can't say it often enough . . . there are NO original 1960s Starliner stickers; not white-backs, not brown-backs -- NONE.

All were created after 1983 by an Indiana dealer who wanted to be able to offer cheap items of 1960s superstars in his stores.

They are ALL unauthorized fantasy pieces.

    If I am not mistaken...

the size is the dead give away...

the starliner stickers are close to normal size cards...

while the dexter press are bigger than postcard size...
