What if every coin was digitally "fingerprinted" so there could be no duplication without the coin being flagged?
How could this change the industry?

<< <i>Who is going to pay for every coin to be digitally fingerprinted? >>
seateddime or anybody else that requests it. Of course not for "every" coin, only there's. (whoops! theirs)
But then the question also needs to be asked: "Why?"
The name is LEE!
on ownership, etc. Good idea but how can it be done with the amount of coins
being graded, day in and day out. Not enough time in the day.
Perhaps technology will improve and the times will drop but that's a ways off, I think.

As usual, a patent just gives you a right to litigate. If the idea gains traction in the market, look for someone else to claim prior art.

but what are you talking about - duplication?
a method for autocorrecting thr population reports?

Just for the sake of clarity, this is an application, not yet a patent, and if/when a patent should issue, the examiner will have cleared it on all "prior art."
this is a great idea, too bad not in HRHs thread
could have been worth a dime
