Probably won't live up to the hype.

Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

It will be the most momentous numismatic event in US, if not world, history.

    All glory is fleeting.
  • It'll be HUGE for PCGS but not much for us.
Save $$$ on many purchases to include EBAY and EBay Stores.

Zero chance the Big One won't live up to the hype. And, by 'hype' really, it us the collector and dealer who is doing so (via these threads).
PCGS made an annoucement and then advertised it. Outside of that again, the hype is from within, and that is us.

We weren't the one's to call it "The Big One" so the hype didn't originate with us forum members.

Sure, but if it really is the Big One then where's the hype?

  • My guess is the big idea was a lead in to get hundreds upon hundreds of ideas, for free. Didn't they do some sort of "hype" thing with Bowers and Merena years ago with the 1913 nickel?

  • 0% the hype has been on these boards with some minor bashing by the non-believers. I am a believer; I do not believe PCGS would risk their reputation on a bluff or an advertising stunt. The men in charge are too professional and there is too much money at stake.image
