New wave of fake Wells Fargo bars hits market per Coin World

Coin World Online has a very interesting article about a new wave of fake Wells Fargo silver bars hitting the numismatic market. Somebody got ahold of some genuine Wells Fargo transmittal receipts from the 1800's, and is custom crafting fake bars to simulate what the receipt says. The fake bars are then sold as genuine with the old paperwork to give them credibility.

The people at the PO haven't finished reading my copy of CW yet. Are the bars really gold of dubious alloy with counterfeit markings, or are they electroplated tungsten? How big are we talking?
