I Know I paid too much for this one off of Teletrade tonight...

Sometimes a coin just grabs me and I know I've got to own it. Translating the Teletrade photo (and fingers crossed the luster is blazing) perhaps this one will turn out to be a winner. When I viewed it earlier in the week I was determined to own it even though I don't collect Roosevelt dimes (too small for my general liking...)

I love the color combination and even the reverse is interesting to my eyes.
A little side note regarding Teletrade: I won everything I bid on tonight but I'll tell you, when I opened up that invoice it is still a little shocking! I've been dealing with Teletrade since 1987 and I seem to always kind of forget the fees involved (including California sales tax!) when I bid.

So in a nut shell...not knowing the fees involved I would say you paid what the going rate was a few years back and I don't believe it's lost any value image
  • Now that I look closer.....that might be a different coin with a similar obverse toning pattern image

I will have to see if I can find my old invoice number to see if it matches up.....might be a false alarm but again...I did sell mine for $150 whether that's a different coin or not so the pirce was fair.

That big red spot on the obverse tricked me and the reverse shots arent good enough to tell but the toning scuff on the cheek of the one he bought wasn't on the one I made so.....different coin image

The reverse also doesn't match up. Outside of that they're brothers.
I am hoping the luster is all there as really, on these toners, once the color is in play it is luster that brings it home.

  • It seem much more neon in the photos then the coin I submitted so unless their is monkey business with the photo then I think you are in business with the color on the coin. image

i do not think you overpaid ........but then again with shipping, buyer's fee, and sales tax .........

Two nice one's of that date , same grade ,sold in last couple of months on T.T @ the 110$ level -and they had no stars .

I think you got it at a very fair price , now whether or not it lives up to your expectations ..........that's another matter
