Why the BIG drop in price for the 3 coin 2006 ASE set??

I can't understand why this limited set is now selling 60% or more less than a year ago?
Even just the MS69 W coin can be found for BIN for around $80 (even FS coins)

My guess is that the promotions are over (cable TV, Internet, etc.), so now we are left with
the collector market, which is pretty much saturated. The same thing happened
with the silver Proof sets containing 50 States quarters.

I bought 5 sets mint fresh from a collection 2 months ago, and had them priced in the store for 275.00 and nobody , I mean nobody bought them period. I ended up breaking the sets apart and selling them seperately to get rid of em.. The 08-w bunished avg between $55-63 on e-bay, the 08 regular proof avg around 50 bucks, and the reverse proof sold for 160-175. (some of the (rev proofs) I sold locally in store and/or at shows, etc)
