  Check to see is there is a 'VDB' on Lincoln's shoulder. If it is there, the coin is a 1918-D.
  If not, it is probably a 1916-D. Both these dates are notorious for a weak last digit. Your
  coin also looks like it may have been a partially filled die (where the incuse area on the die
  filled with dirt, grease or debris during production).

  Forgot to add -- it is NOT a 1914-D, the mintmark is too far to the right.
