my name is nicolas and i was in charge of russia a long time ago. the bolsheviks came after me and my family. everyone thought that my youngest daughter escaped their murderous terror but it was actually me in drag.

my modern day claim to fame is that my name got mentioned in a rolling stones song. my most recent claim is that i am 70% finished with the 1977 set in psa 10.

after the demise of the soviet empire in the early 1990's i thought it was safe to come out of hiding, but this putin guy has me worried.

  • I like to open wax packs.
Trying to climb the 1954-55 Topps Hockey ladder for the second time.

  • Haha, fantastic stories! Mine is simple, I played Youth Football back in the late eighties....In 8th grade I was 5'9 160 lbs. I was put in at the goal line as a fullback. My freshman year, I was 5'11 180 lbs, I was a LB, FB and wedge breaker on the kickoff team. We scored quite a few points, saying that, I busted many wedges. Soon enough, my brother made me a custom neck/head support for me that made me look really intimidating. My coach called me El Toro in practice one day and the name stuck. The fans used to chant my name before every kickoff....I fed off that....I also suffered many concussions and slurred speech.

quick cut & paste job from the other thread:

TNP = the narrow path. As a Christian, it is the path I strive to stay on. I'm unsuccessful way too often, but it is a worthy goal to shoot for. 777 - I like the numbers 7, 3 and 21, so 7 three times is 21. Seven is also a very prominent number in the Bible.
  • mittec = tim (my first name) backwards and being I'm a technician tec

When first diving into the internet many years ago, I chose GA for Georgia since I'm from there. And then 5150 because Van Halen is my favorite band and I've been a collector of their memorabilia and other collectibles since 7th grade (1982). Their album from 1986 was named 5150. Oh yeah, they had a few good songs also over the years.

    Hence the name GA5150.

Coached high school linebackers for about 10 years. Loved it but I now have 2 boys and another on the way so had to retire. 20 was my high school number.

Just like 1954 Red Hearts, mainly the Musial. (BTW, I do not own the card in my avatar. I do own a PSA 8, though.)

image Actually it's easy....He was just the best pure hitter i have ever seen next to Pete Rose. Could place hit it wherever he wanted to. I think he struck out just to make it look legit....

What can I say, I'm a sap for PSA graded cards. It also sounds better than GAISAP. image

I tried to come up with a name that coalesced sportscards and the act of talking about them.

  • I used to bartend in Charlotte from 1977 through 1991, same bar. The owner used to call me Mel. The first initial of my last name with an "el" added. I had a friend in high school named Melvin and the 289, one of Ford's best engines. Melvin289
