I don't think its ugly. But I don't think its stunning either.
I also don't collect medals, but compared to some of the other medals I've seen from other forumites, this one pales in comparison.
This is just my opinion and I don't mean to denigrate your potential purchase.

Considering the angle it was photographed at it gives it away too shiny look
If it was shot by some of the guys that photograph coins on here I would
bet a shiny quarter that it would look Very Very Nice.
